Industry Update: February 2016 AdWords Update

Jared: Hi, my name is Jared and I am an Account Manager with The Clix Group. It has just been confirmed that Google plans to remove ads from the right side of desktop search engine results pages.

Google will no longer show the few ads at the top, maybe 7 or so on the side, with a few on the bottom. They are going to be moving to 3 to 4 ads on top and maybe a few on the bottom of the search engine results page.

What this means for you, is we will most likely see an increase in cost-per-click, as there are far less options for the user to click on.

We also believe this will affect click-through-rates for the same reasoning.

If you have any questions about how this may affect your pay-per-click advertising, maybe budgets and budget pacing, feel free to give me a call or you can find me at help@clixfuel.com. I’d be happy to have a sit down conversation with you and explain how this may affect you. Thank you.
